How do I set up a Custom language? Pocket Rosary

Pocket Rosary lets you create your own translation of the prayers if your language isn't built in yet.

  1. Open the app's Settings screen.
  2. Under Current Language, tap Custom to select it as your active language.
  3. Tap the pencil icon next to Custom to open the Custom Language editor.
  4. Edit prayers one at a time by tapping any row (Language Name, Standard Prayers, or any of the Mysteries/Franciscan Crown sections), or edit everything at once using the bulk YAML workflow:
    • Tap the button and choose Copy Format for Editing to copy a blank YAML template to your clipboard.
    • Paste it into a text editor on your computer or device and fill in each prayer field.
    • Copy your finished YAML back to the clipboard, return to the editor, tap , and choose Paste in Settings to import it.
    • Use Validate at any time to check for missing required fields before importing.
  5. Tap Save when you're done, or Cancel to discard your changes.

Your custom language stays saved on your device and is used automatically whenever "Custom" is the selected language.
